Store Development

Unified's Store Development Department provides expertise in all phases of retail development. We offer assistance in the areas of market selection, site selection, site acquisition, lease negotiation, lease management, fixture planning, décor, permits, construction management, and equipment purchasing. We do charge a small fee for our valuable service.

Real Estate

Unified has grocery real estate experts within each of our different geographic regions for convenient up to date market information, site selection and acquisition and full service real estate negotiation. 

Lease Management

The lease administrator will evaluate and verify landlord billings and rents, and review leases on specific subject matters.

Store Design

Our store designers combine their broad market knowledge with AutoCAD technology to provide you with the best services available. The store designers are able to help you identify your marketing strategy and then design for your customer base with budget constraints clearly in focus. The design department is geographically located in both our Commerce office and in our Portland office to provide easy single point access for our retailers, project managers, purchasing department, product merchandisers and vendors.

Construction Management

Our construction managers are also regionally based for close in store access. A project manager can quickly be at your store to personally discuss your remodel and new store construction project. They are able to provide insight and ideas in all phases of development. In addition they are responsible for coordination of general contractors, sub-contractors and vendor support. The construction manager is the retailer's eyes and ears on site during construction allowing the retailer to concentrate on store operations.
